Whitney Munro
Whitney is the Founder and CEO of FLEX Partners and loves helping people build things that matter. With over 20 years of experience leading teams and organizations to achieve world-class outcomes, Whitney is a process thinker who digs deep into the heart of products and organizations, helping to solve pain points and accomplish big, audacious goals.
Whitney has spent countless hours staring under the hood of companies and non-profits, seeing what works and what doesn’t. One of her least favorite things is watching someone show up with a big plan and then walk away. She founded FLEX Partners for clients who are looking for teams of experts who will stick around to execute and motivate, because otherwise, a plan is just a stack of paper.
Whitney has advised dozens of organizations in all phases of growth, from start-up, to scaling, to the reorganization of budgets between $4 million and $50 million. Her strategic plans get big results, with some clients seeing +150% budget increases. Among her happy clients are:
A non-profit that Whitney helped build from the ground up, including infrastructure, brand identity, short-and-long term strategy, development pipeline, and operations. Together, they went from concept to successful launch in just five months, raising over $1 million in seed funding, and that was in a pandemic year.
A think-tank struggling to increase its capacity and focus on programs over administration expenses. With Whitney’s strategic plan, it expanded the productivity of its R&D team by 300%.
A company with high employee turnover for reasons they couldn’t identify. Whitney helped the executive leadership improve the company culture with clearly defined values, performance indicators, and leadership training, increasing their staff retention by 31% year over year.
An association that was ready to boost its bench of camera-ready talent, analyze its marketplace and identify influencers, and craft messages that would break through the noise. Whitney’s dynamic strategic communications plan grew their media coverage by more than 60% in the first year.
Prior to founding FLEX Partners, Whitney was the chief operational executive for a nationwide network of non-profits, where she focused on infrastructure and process development, day-to-day operations, compliance, strategy, communications, leadership development, and workplace trends and innovation.
Before that, Whitney served as the vice president of communications for the Foundation for Government Accountability and the Bill of Rights Institute, and was the national director of grassroots for FreedomWorks, where she championed legislative and electoral reform efforts across the country, often managing more than a dozen campaigns at once.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations, a Master of Public Administration, and has frequently appeared on national TV and radio networks including: Fox News, CNN, ABC News, NBC News, and more.
